Instructor Levels

Level 1 – Certified Instructor
Run our official program’s classes, get listed on our website, and access exclusive resources.

You must complete level 1 theory and practical course, which is valid for 3 years (renewable for another 3 years via refresher or next-level course).

  • Can run official classes under their name of our program
  • School listing on the official taekwondo.kids website
  • Access to level 1 instructor portal on the official taekwondo.kids website
  • Discounts on books and other merchandise
  • After one year can complete a level two course

Level 2 – Development Instructor
Gain advanced resources and run national workshops.

  • Additional advanced supplementary resources for higher-level instructors

  • After one year can complete a level 3 course.

Deliver official courses, lead international workshops, and access top-level resources.

Company-appointed role with specialist training. Acts as lead educator worldwide.

This position is company appointed and applicants must complete additional specialist training from another principal instructor.

  • Acts as a lead educator for global instructor training and can deliver official level 1, 2, and 3 courses

Level 1 Theory Training Overview

The theory
section of the Level 1 Instructors Course will provide instructors with a solid
foundation in the principles and practices of effective teaching. This part of
the course is often delivered online to allow accessibility to instructors
internationally.

    This section introduces instructors to the core philosophy and guiding
    principles of our program—the foundation that
    makes our program truly unique. You’ll gain a deep understanding of how
    children learn best, how to adapt teaching methods for different ages and
    abilities, and how to create a positive, engaging learning environment
    that inspires growth and confidence in every student.
  • Curriculum Delivery
    Learn how to deliver the program effectively, following its structure
    while maintaining flexibility for your class needs.
  • Safety & Risk Management
    Covers physical safety, safeguarding, class control, and creating an
    emotionally secure learning environment.
  • Class Management & Discipline
    Develop strategies to create orderly, respectful, and focused classes
    using positive discipline and clear routines.
  • Effective Communication
    Learn how to give instructions, feedback, and motivation in ways that
    students understand, respect, and respond to.

support practice and motivation at home, while in class the instructor leads

The Level 1 Instructor Course practical component enables instructors to practice delivering the program with confidence, clarity, and strong interpersonal skills. The course is available in two formats: in-person delivery and online delivery, which includes live demonstrations, practice tasks, and feedback sessions. Although the in-person format is preferable, the online format exists to allow easy accessibility to instructors internationally.
